Outpatient Mental Health Services in Philadelphia

Sunstone Psychiatry for Women offers outpatient mental health services in Philadelphia, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy.

Whether you’re seeking your first psychiatric evaluation, ongoing medication management, or a treatment plan that finally accounts for how hormones and life stage affect your mental health, Sunstone Psychiatry for Women provides outpatient psychiatric care built around you.

We offer virtual, outpatient mental health services for women throughout Philadelphia and across Pennsylvania. Every plan of care starts with a comprehensive evaluation and is shaped by your symptoms, history, and goals — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

At Sunstone Psychiatry for Women, we provide individualized psychiatric care for women in Pennsylvania. Our goal is to help you navigate life transitions and hormonal changes with clarity and support.

What Is Outpatient Psychiatric Care?

Sunstone was founded by Jessica Benson, MD, and Morgan Lewis, DO — two board-certified psychiatrists who spent years treating women together at Main Line Health’s Women’s Emotional Wellness Center before building an online psychiatry practice of their own. That clinical background shapes how we practice today: thoughtful, individualized, and attentive to the hormonal, reproductive, and psychosocial factors that often go overlooked in general psychiatric care.

Outpatient care means you receive ongoing psychiatric support without hospitalization or a higher level of care — appointments happen virtually, on a schedule that fits your life, with the same provider following your progress over time.

Services We Offer

Psychiatric Evaluation

A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation is the starting point for every patient. We take the time to understand your symptoms, history, and goals before recommending a path forward.

When medication is clinically appropriate, we develop and monitor a treatment plan that reflects your symptoms, preferences, and response over time.

All appointments are conducted virtually through a secure telehealth platform, giving you access to psychiatric care from wherever you are in Pennsylvania.

For patients who would benefit from combining medication management with talk therapy, we offer coordinated psychotherapy support alongside psychiatric care.

Self-Pay, Out-of-Network Care

Sunstone is a self-pay, out-of-network practice, which allows our psychiatrists to spend more time with each patient and make clinical decisions independent of insurance requirements. Payment is due at the time of service, and a superbill is available upon request for patients who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement.

Conditions We Treat

Our outpatient services support women managing a wide range of mental health conditions, including:

Bipolar Disorder

ADHD, Burnout, and Life-Stage Transitions
